FAQs
IS A MANAGER ON SITE SHOULD I HAVE A QUESTION, NEED HELP OR ASSISTANCE?
We are locally owned and our manager is on site during our office hours and always in the area by telephone.

ARE YOUR UNITS DRY?
We took special precautions when we designed our facility to assure dry conditions. All of our concrete slabs have a vapor barrier between the four (4) inch concrete floor and gravel sub base. A professionally engineered underground drainage system moves surface water away rapidly to catch basins which in turn are linked to underground culverts that carry the water quickly away from the storage area to a drainage pond. Gabled roofs shed water quickly. The ceilings inside our units are insulated to prevent condensation. The floor level of each unit is raised well above the surrounding drive to prevent any possible water entry.

ARE YOUR UNITS CLEAN?
We offer you a facility that is kept consistently neat and clean. Asphalt paving provides a dirt and dust free driving surface. Unique door sweeps at the top of each door significantly reduces the ingress of dust and other unwanted elements. Sealed concrete floors are cleaned regularly to provide you with a clean site to store your things.

WHAT ABOUT SECURITY?
Our facility is fenced and gated. Access is provided by means of computer controlled gates. Individual and unique access codes are provided only to tenants, emergency, fire, and police departments, and our personnel. Gate operating software identifies and records the gate code used and the time of each entry to the facility. Video cameras monitor and record gate activity 24 hours a day. Police and fire protection are provided by the City of Zion. A fire hydrant is located on the premises.

WILL I BE CHARGED AN ADMINSTRATIVE FEE OR BE REQUIRED TO TAKE YOUR INSURANCE?
We never charge an administrative fee or ask you to pay for insurance. You should check with your insurance carrier to make sure you are insured – most often you will be.

WILL I HAVE TO CLIMB STAIRS, USE AN ELEVATOR OR LONG CORRIDORS TO GET TO MY UNIT?
All of our storage units allow you to drive directly in front of your unit’s door.

WHAT ABOUT LIGHTING?
Lighting is provided by building mounted newly installed LED lighting fixtures throughout the facility. Lighting operates from dusk until dawn 365 days per year.

WHO WILL HAVE ACCESS TO MY STORAGE UNIT?
You will place your own padlock on your unit and you are the only one who will have access to your storage unit.

WHEN WILL I HAVE ACCESS TO MY STORAGE UNIT?
Your personal access code will allow you to enter the facility 365 days per year.

HOW CAN I DETERMINE WHAT SIZE STORAGE UNIT I WILL NEED?
We’ve compiled this helpful guide to help you choose the best fit for your storage needs.

5 x 10A couch and a chair, chest of drawers or dresser, mattress set,
plus small items and boxes. Outdoor furniture, lawn mowers,
garden tools, etc. Bicycles and or motorcycles.

10 x 10 Furniture from a one-bedroom apartment without appliances,
also small items and boxes.

10 x 20 Furniture from a two-bedroom house with appliances,
miscellaneous items and cartons. Also may be used to store a car
or truck and other small items.

10x30 / 12x40Furniture from a three bedroom house with miscellaneous items
and cartons. Will hold contents of a 40 ft. moving van. Also may be used to store a car, truck or boat.
DO I NEED CLIMATE CONTROLLED STORAGE FOR STORING HOUSEHOLD FURNISHINGS?
Our units have been designed from bottom/up to provide dry (moisture barrier in concrete) fresh (gentle air flow) and insulated ceiling to avoid dramatic temperature changes. Therefore, in almost all cases the answer is no.

WHAT ABOUT INSURANCE?
We strongly suggest that you contact your insurance company and advise them that you are utilizing storage space to be certain that you have adequate insurance coverage. Our insurance does not cover your goods.

WHAT ABOUT AUTO AND BOAT STORAGE?
We have a number of units rented for auto and boat storage.

HOW DO WE GET STARTED RENTING A STORAGE UNIT?
You can stop at our office and we can complete a rental agreement and have you ready to occupy your unit in about ten minutes. A photo I.D., first month rent and security deposit is required. Or you can call or email to reserve your unit.

HOW IS THE RENTAL PAID?
You may pay by check, cash, credit / debit card, money order at the office, via mail or email, or auto bill to your credit / debit card. Rent is paid only one month at a time no matter how long a term you choose to occupy your unit. You may also pay in advance for longer periods of time. Most of our customers prefer that we charge their credit card each month so that they do not have to stop in or mail a check each month. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.
